Ninja Warrior Germany was the first season of the international SASUKE/Ninja Warrior format in Germany. The show was recorded in dm-arena- Messe Karlsruhe, and premiered on July 9th, 2016 at RTL. Out of the over 7000 applicants, 240 competitors participated across 4 Preliminary Round and Finals Qualification episodes and one Finals episode, which aired on July 30th, 2016.
The Qualifications
The Preliminary Rounds and the Finals Qualifications were run over in 4 episodes. Out of the 60 participating competitors, the 20 best/fastest competitors of each Preliminary Round would advance to the Finals Qualifications. In the Finals Qualifications, the 7 best/fastest participants would advance to the Finals. There was no time limit in the Preliminary Rounds and in the Finals Qualifications.

René Casselly: 2021 bezwang der Zirkusjunge in Staffel 6 von „Ninja Warrior“ in Deutschland den Mount Midoriyama. Am Buzzer nach 20 Meter Seil waren noch 2,99 Sekunden auf der Uhr. René Casselly ist damit nach Platz 2 im Jahr 2017 und Rang 3 im Jahr 2021 nun der erste „Ninja Warrior Germany“. Er gewann 300.000 Euro.
