hello everybody welcome to leader learning channel my name is rajna chaudhary and we have to solve this question which is rashida bought 25 dozen eggs at the rate of rupees 9.60 per dozen then 30 x were broken in the transaction and she sold the remaining x at one rupee each find her gain and loss percentage so uh we can say first of all we should we need to find the total number of eggs because 30 eggs were bro broken and then she sold a one rupee each egg so let's find out what was the total number of eggs that she bought so total number of x would be uh 25 dozen we know that one dozen is equal to 12 x so total eggs are 25 multiplied by 12 that is 300 so there are total 300 x that she bought now let's find out cost price and selling price because we cannot find gain or loss percent until we have selling price or cost price so let's do that cost price of one dozen is given that is 9.60 let's find out cost price of 12 dozen that is uh i'm sorry 25 dozen that would be 25 multiplied by 9.60 that is 240 now number of total x is 300 let's find out the number of eggs remaining that she sold so remaining eggs are total x minus the number of eggs that were broken so 30x were broken so remaining eggs are 270 now she sold one rupee per egg so that means selling price is given per egg so sp of one egg is rupee 1 so we have to find the selling price of 270 x that is 1 multiplied by 270 that is rupees 270 now we have total selling price we have total cost price we can find profit or loss here we can see there is a profit because selling price is greater so selling price is selling price is greater than cost price so profit is selling price minus cost price that is 270 minus 240 that mean rupees 30 is profit now we have to find profit per cent so profit percent is profit upon cp multiplied by 100 that is 30 upon 240 multiply by 100 with the percent sign after calculation we would have twelve point five percent so i hope you understand the method see you in my next video don't forget to like share and subscribe the channel thank you for watching
