Why is it important for estheticians to have a basic understanding of electricity?

Estheticians should understand electricity because we work with electrotherapy and also use electricity to power most of our machines.

What is the use of electrical currents to treat the skin called?

Electroporation therapy uses extremely high pulse voltage to introduce drugs into the skin. It has been widely used but takes certain risks. Its advantage is that it can transmit polymers [7–9]. Another application of electric current is to promote wound healing.

Can you touch glass while using an electrical appliance?

True/False: Do not touch any glass while using an electrical appliance. FALSE. Rationale: Glass can be touched when using electrical appliances.

Which of the following treatments uses light to help improve the appearance of the skin?

What is LED light therapy? LED (light-emitting diode) light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that enters the skin's layers to improve the skin. In the 1990s, NASA began studying LED's effects in promoting wound healing in astronauts by helping cells and tissues grow.
